Correct diameter 205 gr Bullets are available from Hornady (Through Graf & Sons). Buffalo arms sells a variety of other bullet weights at the correct diameter. Brass is available from graf & sons. It uses large rifle boxer style primers Reloading dies are available from Lee precision - the reloading dies also come with a good set of load data - one of the most complete I have seen to date. The most common gun in the US that shoots this round is the Steyr-Mannlicher M95. They are military surplus rifles. The design originated in 1895, and the rifles that shoot the 8x56R cartrige were chambered for this round in the 1930's. The barrels were also shortened to carbine length when the guns were rechambered.

This text is based on information from “Cartridges of the World”, Hodgdon reloading manual, the cartridge designer and/or own resources.
