Cartridge released by Sako in 2002-03 as a powerful new hunting round. It has the same head size as the 9.3x62 Mauser and was designed to be the maximum sized cartridge to fit into a standard sized .30-06 action without alterations. The case dimensions are similar to the 9.3x62 Mauser except it stretched 4mm in length in the body section, no other changes otherwise.
