| Comment | Shot Load 6924 listed above, 52.6 R17. Shot at 3343FPS but bolt was stiff on first shot and really stiff on 3rd shot. Shot 50.5 (50.4 is in Hornady book as max). Group was ok, quarter or little less, at 3160. Shot 51.0, 2nd and 3rd shot went in same hole a little over 3200 FPS. First shot on cold barrel was bout a bullet hole out. No pressure noted. I'll probably test 51.0 a bit more, I'd beware of pressing much above 51.5. All in all, R17 seems to have high velocity with accuracy. |
