.30 Newton

The 30 Newton was originally designed for Fred Adolph and was called the Adolph Express when introduced in 1913. The 30 Newton is a rimless, magnum type cartridge similar to the 30-06 Springfield, but is larger in diameter. It is powerful enough for any North American big game. The 300 H&H; Magnum and 300 Weatherby Magnum outperforms it, although its performance can be improved by handloading with modern powders.
